What projects does Get Southall Moving involve?

Get Southall Moving aims to make it safer and easier for people in Southall to get around by walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport.

Four key routes through Southall were initially identified in 2022 for improvements as an alternative to widening the South Road bridge, which was deemed not feasible to deliver.

These routes formed the basis of the Get Southall Moving engagement in 2023. This is now being refined into a programme for Southall and more information will be presented here as this develops.

How much is this programme investing in Southall?

The core budget is £9.3 million from the Housing Zone programme (Greater London Authority and developer contributions).

A complementary £300,000 allocation from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund supports the Destination Southall work on town-centre public realm and identity. Alongside these, Ealing Council funding, including Section 106 and other council-led projects, provides additional schemes and enables coordinated delivery.
